“MAGIC” of part time….

What is the “MAGIC” of part time??

In a previous post I spoke about the importance of multiple streams of income and how you can do that part time. I’m going to tell you how….

Mindset – Mindset is very complex, I’m going to keep it brief…The main thing is personal development and knowledge! Personal development is how you handle disappointments, celebrate victories, your work ethic, how you behaviour towards people, how you treat your business. Are you willing to work your 9 – 5 full time job, then work 8pm – 11pm and more for 6 days…Are you willing  to learn and gain more knowledge i.e. getting a mentor, studying online, courses, research. Applied knowledge is power! Knowledge unused is pointless!! Whatever you learn, find a way to use it, Jim Rohn says it best “Study. Practice. Teach”.

Affirmations – Some call it praying, others say speak to universe, I’m saying affirmations….Affirmations is saying to yourself constantly and consistently what you want to achieve, for example. You may want to own a chain of restaurants but you’re an accountant by trade. Keep telling yourself you will have a chain of restaurants, once you have the affirmation, you then get the mindset and start working towards it.

Goals – Goals is your end result you are working towards, this can be broken down into short and long term. One of the best models for goals is:

Specific – what is it you want to achieve (4 restaurants)

Measurable – Within the next 2 years I will have opened my first chain

Accountable – Who can I trust that will support me and make sure I stick to the goal..

Reachable – I have savings, just slightly short. I need to save more or do something else part time to have my deposits..

Time Based – Within the next 5 years have 4 restaurant

Execution – How it will be done, who do I need to speak to, shall I have a business partner

Review – Checking over your “SMARTER” goal to ensure it’s reachable, if not, you can always make amendments.

Restaurant is just an example..

Intention – This is working towards your goal with intention, everything you do is for a reason, meaning the results you have were not “luck” it was planned and you created your own environment.

Committed – Just getting it done, week in week out, being disciplined no matter what happens just working towards your goal..

one of my mentors is a 7 figure earner, he showed me and the team how to make 6 figures in Lisbon, training was AMAZING..

What is “Value”…..

What is your value…Your value is whatever you say it is!!

We are now living in the information/technology era, 25 plus years ago our jobs were secure and we could retire on our work pensions, state pension, times have changed!! When we go to work, we get paid by the hour, is it possible to get paid twice the amount per hour for the same job (Majority of jobs), of course. For example a hairdresser working in a salon may get paid £15 for an hour, is it possible for that same hairdresser to get paid £40 an hour with the same skills? In order for that hairdresser to get £40 per hour, that person needs to become confident, possibly take a risk and find someone that is doing what they want to do and follow (Find a mentor). Before you can be a leader you need to be led!! The whole point of this blog is not to put down jobs, we all have to start somewhere, when you have reached a plateau in your current position and you don’t feel valued because you are doing above and beyond your job description. Also, these days many of our jobs are replaceable or companies downsizing the work force, this means more workload, more hours for the same pay with no new skills; your value has gone down as your doing more for less!  The way you become more valuable and also give value to your customers/clients, is by your skills levels, customer service, confidence and more importantly your experience. For example, you have 2 labourers doing the same project, one labourer is experienced been building for many years and has worked with reputable companies, second labourer is fairly new and only been building for a year or two. The second labourer charges 15% more than the than first; but the first has a good reputation and is well known. However, the second labourer will get the job, not because his better just because he has perceived more value, the more you pay for something the more valuable its perceived. First labourer had all the attributes but wasn’t confident charging market value, so he tried to under cut rather than be competitive and lost out. Louis Vuitton & Versace brands hardly ever go on sale, they are HIGH VALUE items, whereas Primark, gap, next have sales on a regular basis and quality is not perceived has good.

If you’re not happy in your current job, change it. “For things to change, you have to change” – Jim Rohn

If you’re looking for something new, want to increase your value, get confidence, learn leadership skills and more importantly understand the mechanics of personal development, let’s get connected.

Have belief in you in you..

Remove “can’t” replace with….

Do you know the power of the mind….

We have all  heard of the saying “Healthy body Healthy Mind”, there is no difference when you say you “CAN’T” do something. The majority of people have low confidence, rather than saying I’ll give it a go. Some people CAN’T do certain things due to illnesses or severe complications such as dyslexia, autism, body dysfunctions etc. Therefore this affects our physical. social & economics….Replace “CAN’T” with the following:

HOW – How can “I” or “WE” opens your mind to the possibilities and then you start to think of ideas, remember, the brain is a muscle that needs to be exercised, whatever you don’t use you lose. Even if the solution is something has simple as going on youtube, asking for help from someone who may know, reading a book, just by saying how is a positive response to get your mind going.

WHAT – What needs to be done, this is thinking about taking action and asking questions about the problem or just showing a interest, either way it gets your mind ticking. For example, I CAN’T lose weight…the questions are.. What are you willing to do? What do I need to? What can I do now?

WHEN – When is affirming that you are going to take action, you will get it done. You will find HOW and WHAT needs to be done. For example, someone says to you, you CAN’T make a 6 figures a month that’s impossible for you to do. By you affirming and saying I will, what I need to do is & find out HOW it will be done by asking WHO has made 6 figures that I know.

WHO – Who do I know that can help, who do I need to know to make this happen. Depending on what it is you may need assistance from someone else, especially on your economics. I believe we all need a mentor, role model in our life to guide us in the direction we want to go in or discover a way. Sometimes our parents/Guardians/Friends don’t see your vision or understand your way of thinking, so therefore you need someone WHO has experienced what you want to achieve or do.

WHY – Why is a powerful word, this could be the difference between being a success or failing miserably. For example, WHY should I do that its not going to work, or the reason WHY I need to succeed I have people counting on me. Why is your purpose and goes into your emotions, emotions can either build you or destroy you.

When it comes to improving your lifestyle, I can’t buy a house, I can’t hang around those people i.e. corporate, urban, youth etc. You have limited your chances to a better future. Use those key words how, what, when, who & why use these words on a more frequent basis and see if your life doesn’t change..

Are you ready to replace the word CAN’T  challenge…..

Are you open minded, lets connect
